Jurvis Tan (14)
ReplyDelete1. I have generally learnt alot from this topic including the periodic table of elements because i was blur when i saw it and was so lost. I also learnt about atoms and its elements together with the neutron, protons and electrons. The thing i really liked about this learning set was the movement of particles and the molecular attraction that holds the atoms together
2.
Yes, i got to know about the different elements in atoms, how particles move around, the variation of the shapes and sizes of element molecules and its movement in an object
3.
I want to know where this molecular attraction force comes from and why and how is it showing up in between the molecules.

ReplyDelete1.I have learnt what are atoms ,elements ,compounds ,mixtures ,molecules.I have also learnt how to draw the electronic structure of atoms. The most interesting thing that I have learnt so far is Chromatography.I feel it is amazing how the mixture of colours can be separated with the help of the deionized water
ReplyDelete2.In the past,I use to think that elements were one type of particles and compounds were another type. Now I understand that elements are made up of many atoms, and that compounds is a few different elements mixed together using chemical means.
3.I would like to know if the molecules will react to certain types of chemicals.
Teoh Yun (8)
ReplyDelete~I had learnt how to look at a chemical symbol, (How to know what chemicals make the compound/solution.)
~I used to think that everything that was mixed together cannot be separated but now I know some could ^.^
~I would like to have 'smaller' test, tests that does not count in the exams to help us familiarize with the chemistry test.

ReplyDelete1.
I have learn to read a periodic table and knowing the differences of a element, atoms and molecules, although i had seen it,i did not know how to use it or what it was meant for.The things that i like was about the different types of purification techniques and looking at the movement of different molecules.
2.
It has thought me how to differentiate a mixture and a compound, solute, solvent and solution.
3.
I want to learn more about the purification techniques and chromatography as i think it is very interesting and fun.
I have learnt about atoms and molecules and before, I did not know about them and I thought they were the same. I have mainly learnt about compounds' characteristics.
ReplyDeleteI knew how to separate inks using chromotography.
I want to learn more about ions because there are a lot about it in web which are very interesting.
Carisa Chan (01)
ReplyDelete1. I have learnt more about particles and its properties. The most interesting thing I have learnt is about how the particles move.
2. It has taught me how to differentiate the particles.
3. I would like to learn more about the different separation methods.
Lionel Lim (17)
ReplyDelete1)I have learnt a lot of things, like how molecules look like, what properties they have, etc.
2)I used to read the books about molecules and one of them contained a information about a philosopher who thought that if you cut, for example,a piece of cheese into halves a lot of times, you will get something that cannot be cut into half- a molecule. Now I have clarified that a molecule cannot be cut,or broken apart.
3)I would like to learn more about the solvent that can dissolve almost anything.
Christopher Nah (19)
ReplyDelete(1) I learnt what is the difference between a solution and a compound. The most interesting thing that I have learnt is about ions and isotopes.
(2) The difference between a solution and a compound as I thought they were the same and that the number above each element in the periodic table is the nucleon number. I did not knew what the nucleon number means before the activities.
(3) I would like to know more about quarks(Subatomic particle) and the string theory(things which makes up quarks), the activity of atoms in vacuum and dark matter, the activity of atoms in a black hole and a white hole. I would also want to know more about antimatter which are molecules formed by atoms consisting of antiprotons, antineutrons, and positrons and also why stable antimatter does not appear to exist in our universe. I would also like to learn more about radioactive atoms, excited atoms and how a atom in a nuclear bomb works. Lastly, I also want to learn more about ions because it is quite interesting.
Ng Yuzhe (20)
ReplyDelete(1) I learnt that what is the difference of a physical reaction and a chemical reaction as I first thought that they were the same.
(2)I learnt that the physical reaction could be reverted easily but I have also learnt how to revert the process of a chemical reaction.
(3)I would like to learn about the what happens when atoms are in a vacuum.
1. What have you learnt from this learning set?I have learnt about the topic particulate nature of matter. In this topic I learnt about the spaces between molecules and how it can be filled up, which is why when two things are combined together the smaller molecules fill up the empty spaces in the bigger molecule. I also learnt how to draw the molecule for Ethanol. I learnt about the motion of molecules in different states of Matter and their properties.
ReplyDeleteWhat is the most interesting thing that you have learnt? I think learning about the movement of molecules in different states of matter was interesting, as we used pedagogica to see how the molecules moved with our own eyes. I also think it was interesting because visual learning is one of the best way to learn things for children as we get to actually see what is happening for ourselves.
2. Was there anything you have learnt in this learning set that helped you to clarify what you knew before the activities. Yes. The last time I knew about molecules was quite long ago so my knowledge of the nature of these molecules was a bit rusty. This learning set helped me to clarify most of my doubts.
3. What else do you want to know that is related to this learning set. I want to know more about the uses of pedagogica as it seems to be very interesting.I also want to know more about the spaces between molecules as I still do not believe that there can be absolute nothingness.
Sorry

ReplyDelete1. What have you learnt from this learning set?
What is the most interesting thing that you have learnt?
I learnt about the Nature of Materials, like how to count the molecules, how do the molecules of solid, liquid and gas move etc.
The most interesting thing I have learnt was the movements of the molecules. It looked weird at first to see so many balls filling up part of my screen but soon as i got used to it, it became so very interesting.
2. Was there anything that you have learnt in this learning set helped you to clarify what you know before the activities?
At first I was confused on how does the particles around us (air, liquid, solid) move when they showed using the PedagogicaMac, i get a much better idea of how they move.
3. What else do you want to know related this learning set?
Do molecules expand or contract regarding to the surroundings?
